SANCTIFY YOUR WORK
Culture in the workplace can affect everything from how you think about going to work each morning, to how you approach each task and everyone you work with. It can even affect how you grow and live out you faith.
This workshop is for Catholic professionals who care about true human flourishing at work, who see work as a potentially ennobling and impactful part of their journey of faith, and who wish to learn how applying principles of business success and Catholicism can lead to an improved and more fruitful work environment.
WITH MICHAEL PACANOWSKY
Michael Pacanowsky was the initial holder of the Gore-Giovale endowed Chair in Business Innovation in the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster College. He served as the Founding Director of the Center for Innovative Cultures from 2013-2020. He is the author of many academic articles on organizational culture, and two books meant for a wider audience, The Thriving Organization and A Friday Filled With Joy. Michael has offered this workshop for the most influential business leaders from around the country. As a parishioner of St. Mary’s, he is offering his time to our parish free-of-charge.
The workshop will be held in the St. Mary’s parish center classrooms and will begin Friday, September 30th, with a potluck dinner at 6 PM and will close at 9:15 PM. It will continue on Saturday, October 1st, from 8 AM to 5 PM. As this event emphasizes the role of community, we ask that all in attendance bring a meatless dish for the potluck dinner on Friday evening and a dish for the potluck lunch on Saturday. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS HAVE SAID
“Michael’s stories and background from the different companies he worked with during his career give real-life examples of the models he proposes to promote human flourishing in the workplace.”
“This workshop made me stop to take a good and honest look at what I’m doing and where I want to go, and to remember to always include God in what I say and do.”
