KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 1129

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 1129

- A STAR COUNCIL -

The St. Mary's Knights of Columbus are a group of Catholic men dedicated to serving our parish and community, supporting our families, and growing in faith together. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, your presence and participation can make a big difference. Knights are practical Catholic men, 18 and older, who are involved and engaged at St. Mary’s, and seek to enhance their own faith and family life. Knights are invited to attend our monthly meetings.

SILVER ROSE PRAYER SERVICE

JUNE 18 AT 5:30 PM | ST. MARY'S

A silver rose on a nine-month pilgrimage will be the centerpiece of a special prayer service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 5:30 PM on June 18 in Park City. The Silver Rose Program began in 1960, when the first rose – a real, live one – was blessed by a bishop in Ontario. The rose then traveled to New York and then to Texas where it was taken across the border into Mexico. The rose ended its pilgrimage at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey on December 12 the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. To better ensure future annual trips, a silver rose was ultimately made. Today, due to the popularity of the program throughout the North American continent, eight silver roses travel unique routes. It is to the Blessed Mother that we turn in prayer as we work to end the Culture of Death that grips our society. As we think in terms of ‘One Life, One Rose,’ it is most appropriate that we turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe who made known her will through Juan Diego and the miracle of the roses. We hope you can join us! All are invited to join, not just Knights of Columbus members!

WHO CAN JOIN THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS?

Membership is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical Catholics in union with the Holy See and are in good standing with the Church. Knights live according to the teachings and precepts of the Catholic Church and seek to enhance their own faith and family life.
