MAY SUMMIT AT ST. MARY'S

WAITING THROUGH THE DESERTS OF LIFE | SOCIAL HALL AT 6:30 PM

W.H. Vanstone wrote that “waiting can be the most intense and poignant of all human experiences.” We’ve all waited in our own ways — through periods of discernment, infertility, illness, grief — and these times can be grueling and difficult. But what if we saw our times of waiting as an opportunity to grow into a more mature faith? In this talk, we’ll look at our tendency toward “acedia” historically and in modern-day life; discuss the difference between active and passive waiting; and you’ll leave with an understanding of the spiritual benefits of patience. Megan Nix is a mother of five, an Eastern Catholic, and the author of the book Remedies for Sorrow: An Extraordinary Child, A Secret Kept From Pregnant Women, and a Mother’s Pursuit of the Truth, published by Doubleday in 2023. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and more. She regularly influences hospitals and medical groups about congenital CMV and the capacity of mothers. Confessions will be heard beforehand from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. All are invited and we hope to see you there! Please RSVP HERE.

EUCHARISTIC PILGRIMAGE WITH BISHOP SOLIS

SUNDAY, JUNE 2 | OLD TOWN CHAPEL TO ST. MARY'S MAIN CHURCH

Pilgrims on the Junipero Serra Route on their way to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis will pass through the Diocese of Salt Lake City, including Park City.
