The Reverend Fr. Kenneth Rey Parsad
Parochial Vicar of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, Park City & St. Lawrence Mission, Heber City

Fr. Kenneth Parsad is originally from Sta. Rosa, Bangued, Abra, Philippines. He attended St. Joseph Minor Seminary in Abra for high school and the University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary in Manila, where he received both his degrees of AB in Classical Philosophy and Bachelor in Sacred Theology.
After completing the required studies for the priesthood, he decided to leave seminary. In the span of 7 years, he worked as a Philosophy and Theology instructor in the University of Santo Tomas and Paco Catholic School, teaching courses like Salvation History, Christian Ethics, Social Teachings of the Church, and Philosophy of the Human Person. He was also a recording artist for Universal Records and they produced a solo album called Still.
When he decided to return to priestly formation, he was invited to apply in the Diocese of Salt Lake City as a seminarian. He arrived to the USA in 2022 and spent 2 years of formation in Mt. Angel Seminary in Oregon, where he received his Master’s in Divinity. He was ordained a priest by the Most Rev. Oscar Solis on June 13, 2025, feast of St. Anthony of Padua, in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, Salt Lake City.
St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Park City is his first assignment as a priest, where he previously spent his pastoral semester under the tutelage of Fr. Christopher Gray. Fr. Parsad has a particular devotion to Pope St. John Paul II, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Carlo Acutis, St. Joseph, and Our Lady of Fatima. He has a particular interest in Biblical Theology. He also keeps himself active as he loves to run and hike. He regularly goes to the gym and plays basketball. He is a big LA Lakers fan, but is slowly considering switching his allegiance to the Utah Jazz. He aims to learn skiing soon.
